What to expect on your first visit

When a patient enters our office they can expect to be greeted by a friendly staff member and seen quickly by the doctor. While we believe in spending as much time as needed for a thorough evaluation and treatment, we realize how valuable your time is; consequently appointments are scheduled in a manner that minimizes your wait to a few minutes. After being greeted you will be asked to fill out an intake form which consists of general information pertaining to your past health history, general condition and why you are seeking care. While you are filling the form out, a staff member will ask for your insurance card and verify your benefits for you. You will then be informed of any partial payment that you may be responsible for at that time such as co-pays or deductibles. There are numerous insurance plans within the Pittsburgh area and we will verify and bill them as a courtesy to our patients so that you will not need to fill out and submit any claim forms on your own. You are now ready to meet with the doctor which will consist of a thorough examination of spinal, neurological and orthopedic exams. Additionally, a complete verbal history will be taken so please feel free to inform of us of anything that you think is important or may pertain to your condition. Some patients require x-rays depending on their condition, complaint or health status. X-rays can be taken on site at the office and the doctor will determine if they are needed and discuss this with you during your initial meeting. Lastly, the doctor along with you will plan out your treatment. Each individuals care is different and we do not subscribe to a "cookie cutter" theory when it comes to treatment plans. Every patient is given a personal treatment plan that is tailored specifically to their own needs and subsequent reaction to care they are receiving.

Insurance

The office accepts all insurance that pays for chiropractic care and physical medicine. We are happy to verify benefits for anyone that may be interested in becoming a patient. The specifics of your plan and what your responsibilities will be explained to you before treatment begins.
